Manuscript Types

The Journal of Didactic Mathematics welcomes scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of research, theory, and practice in mathematics education and didactics. The journal considers the following types of manuscripts:

1. Research Articles

Research articles report original empirical investigations addressing significant issues in mathematics education. They may employ qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods approaches and should demonstrate methodological rigor, clear reporting of findings, and meaningful contributions to mathematics education research and practice.

2. Review Articles

Review articles provide systematic, critical, or integrative analyses of existing research on topics relevant to mathematics education. Submissions should clearly explain their review methodology, including the literature search and selection procedures where applicable, and demonstrate a substantive contribution beyond a descriptive summary of previous studies.

3. Theoretical or Conceptual Articles

Theoretical or conceptual articles develop, refine, or critically examine theories, conceptual frameworks, or methodological perspectives relevant to mathematics education and didactics. Such manuscripts should present a coherent argument, engage critically with relevant scholarly literature, and articulate their contribution to the field.

All submissions must fall within the journal's focus and scope, comply with its publication ethics policies, and meet the applicable manuscript preparation requirements. Submission does not guarantee acceptance; all manuscripts are subject to editorial assessment and the journal's peer-review process.
